A neutrino is a subatomic particle that is very similar to an electron, but has no electrical charge and a very small mass, which might even be zero.
it is electrically neutral and because its rest mass is so small that it was long thought to be zero
Neutrinos are created by various radioactive decays;
supernova
the Sun
beta decay of atomic nuclei or hadrons,
nuclear reactors, nuclear bombs, or particle accelerators
during the spin-down of a neutron star
when accelerated particle beams or cosmic rays strike atoms.
An invisible and almost massless particle could be the building block for some incredible new technology.
These particles can pass through pretty much anything and if you send a message, say from the U.S. to China on the other side of the globe, it would be faster to send the message through Earth rather than over it. It would also be an easy way to communicate with submarines submerged far below the surface
Neutrinos could also be used to detect the presence of nuclear weapons, and even confirm the presence of elusive dark matter
